The internship program at HLPS is offered in both short-term (4–8 weeks) and long-term (3–6 months) formats, depending on academic needs and career aspirations. Each intern is assigned a supervisor who oversees their progress, conducts evaluations, and provides clinical supervision. A general outline of the program structure includes:
Orientation & Induction: Familiarizing interns with HLPS policies, values, and clinical protocols.
Case Observations: Watching live or recorded sessions of therapy, assessments, and clinical interviews.
Client Interactions: Participating in client sessions under supervision, including intake, therapy, and follow-up.
Clinical Documentation: Learning to maintain case histories, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Workshops & Seminars: Weekly learning sessions on psychological disorders, therapeutic techniques, and ethical practice.
Supervision & Feedback: Weekly one-on-one supervision and performance assessments.
